Visiting Destin, Florida for a month, I cracked a tooth and was unable to eat. Unfortunately, it happened over the weekend and not being familiar with dentists in the area, I was at a loss. Seeing that Smileology was voted number 1 in Destin, I left a message. I got a call back first thing on Monday and was sitting in the dentist chair getting my tooth fixed by 1pm. Dr. Strong was great, very professional and friendly as was his staff. Thank you to all at Smileology for taking care of me.

Contacted them in September as my crown cracked. Under three years old. Took forever to call me back. Called every week for six weeks. Told me I had to locate Dr Nakarmi. Finally did. He couldn't get in touch with anyone at smilelogy to resolve my case. Didn't get a call back until January. No one seems to even care.
It's the fiduciary duty's of a dentist and doctors office to take care of their existing and new patients. That wasn't the case here as I just lost the second tooth that was injured during a crown and root procedure.
Out of pocket a lot of time. A lot of money. Between 3 different specialized areas 2k a drop for surgeries , redos and still infection and pain. A cracked tooth. Cracked the front molar too. Two important teeth gone.
Still phone call week after week. After week. Dr Nakarmi finally set me up with dr Boutin at niceville office only to be told I'd have to start all over again with impressions, X-rays etc. not to mention 6k looking at with my own oral facial surgeon for an implant and then setting at another office with no guarantee that my mouth with accept the implant. You've got to be kidding me.
Now my Infectious disease team said no surgery for now. Let's get you healed.
Just reimburse for services gone wrong and call it a day. I'm reporting all of y'all to the medical dentistry board and contacting the bar association.
Shame on all of you for dismissing an exiting patients very serious issues and. If resolving it the way a business should.
I would not recommend anyone to go to this location nor any for that matter. Loveland is also a worthless manager in the office. Never returned a single phone call. I had to fight to be reimbursed for the first damaged crown and root. My gosh. I can't image ever doing business with a place like this nor these dentists.
30A smiles is wonderful. The team of drs have been incredible. So have my other team that have felt with the brunt of my grief and taken very good care of me - Dr Bludale, Dr Wolsey and Dr Shaffleur.
Dr Nakarmi tried reaching out to smilelogy to NO response. Finally with Dr Bruton but it's a process. No thanks
Dentists you need to listen to your patients and take care of your patients. All unnecessary grief and time. Such a waste of time, money, pain, and illness.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

We are happy to hear your issue has been resolved. We wish you the best.
Feb 15, 2022Previous reviewI had work done by Dr. Nakami in 2018 and had reimbursement for a crown in route that he cracked the crown when placing it on my tooth. I had extensive route canals done by Dr. BLUdales office an emergency removal. To the time of 7400.00. I got insurance and would cover only so much. Smile love agreed to reimburse me for the tooth and I had specialists including Smileologys office Keep a good eye out on the number 19 as it appear to have a fracture. They wanted me to go back-and-forth for an entire year as I went back-and-forth with infection been back-and-forth on antibiotics that let me back into infectious disease care. You can only imagine the expenses, the pain, the trauma. Fast forward to Covid finally had a tooth looked at again and somehow the crown cracked. Had a happy emergency removal or surgery removal and contacted my my allergy to find out about the warranty. It's been four months now back-and-forth phone calls to no response and very little help only from the front desk which has been very nice. Finally found Dr. Nakarmi, Dr. Nakarmi said smilology wouldn't return his phone calls and here we are today so I'm about to report all of them to the Better Business Bureau and the medical board. Please be careful when you go to dentist and doctors and make sure that you are aware of what they will take care of and what they want prior to this type of work done this is very painful, exhausting jo and and fair. We're talking $1600 reimbursement for a crown. I'm out-of-pocket $22,000 and I have an upcoming implant to be placed soon I would never do business with any of these people. Not to not Dr. Nakami out at Oracle dental nor smile Ology in Miramar Beach Florida. I have been advised to contact the Bar Association and I will.

This location did a good job when I needed a cleaning and some work done on a crown. I do believe they are quite a bit more expensive than I have been charged at other dentists.

Last time I've done my teeth cleaning and I was 100% satisfied. That's why I came back after 6 months and I am very very disappointed and unhappy for the work they have done this time. I paid over $170, only for polish and floss pretty much. You could not see the difference after cleaning. When I walked out my teeth were looking the same as before cleaning. Such a waste of money and time. Will never go back.

They don't contract with any insurance companies, so avoid at all costs unless you don't have dental insurance. Otherwise, you get to go through the hassle of paying for everything up front, waiting for them to file, and then they either send you a check or a new bill once your insurance pays (I'm betting on the latter). You better have an accounting degree or endless patience

Hi there, we were unable to locate you in our system. Our practice, like many dental providers, operates on a fee-for-service basis, meaning patients pay in full at the time of their visit. We are happy to file insurance claims for our patients as a courtesy; however, the insurance company makes coverage and reimbursement decisions based on the individual plan and our practice has no control over these decisions. Our practice never requests payment from the insurance company and if the insurance company issues payment to us that was due to the patient, we promptly issue reimbursement to that patient. We strive to be very transparent about our financial policies.

The service was pushy and the extraction procedure was rough and unnecessarily painful. No medication for pain and no follow-up.

Exceeded expectations! Scheduling an appointment was incredibly easy. The receptionist really listened to my needs. She went out of her way to call me a day later when a better appointment that fit my schedule became available. The atmosphere was wonderful! I felt welcomed and very luxury. They do a great job making you feel comfortable and think of the small things. I was even offered a blanket because I was in shorts. I will most definitely be telling friends, family and strangers about the quality of service I received here.

This Dental Office is engaging in insurance scams! We have private dental insurance, but the dentist requires all payments up front. Then they bill the dental insurance provider and keep the money. We have fought for months to get the money that the insurance company paid to them. They even promised they would have the insurance company mail the check to us directly, but our insurance company has documentation that the dentist requested they get the payment. I would avoid these scams at all cost as it has been months attempting to get our insurance payment and they said it was our insurance companies problem, which it is not! Stay away if you have private dental insurance. You either won't get reimbursed at all or will fight months to get paid.

Do not come here for dental services. I came here for a second opinion from the Santa Rosa Beach office. I had no pain when I walked in and let him do 1 crown, that I according to him, absolutely needed. (He recommended a total of 4 crowns...) Drilling for the crown caused constant throbbing pain, and apparently was to deep as it drove the need for a root canal.
I have since consulted a different doctor. My new doctor said the other three teeth (that smileology insisted needed crowns) were fine and were pre-cavities best treated with flouride instead of power equipment.
Also, they keep sumbmitting the wrong x-rays to my insurance company. The damage was done back in February and I still do not have my money back. They are unresponsive to my calls and the customer service is absolutely unacctaptable. If you want healty teeth, DO NOT GO TO SMILEOLOGY.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
